On March 1, 2013 the American Heart Association hosted their annual Leon Heart Ball. The event was held at the Florida State Conference Center (Turnbull Conference Center) in celebration of the American Heart Association’s work, mission, donors, volunteers, and the many lives saved and improved by everyone’s collaborative efforts. I was asked by my friends to photograph this event, they did am amazing job with this great event. I was happy to donate my time!
People from all around the area came in support of this great cause. The night started out with a cocktail hour and a silent auction. Afterwards, there was a seated dinner, catered by Andrews Catering, followed by a speech given by a cardiologist, as well as a short program, lively live auction and lots of dancing. The band MVP from Atlanta played at the event and they were great! Everything from the table settings, to the decorations, and auction items was spectacular. Everyone had an awesome time and their contributions totaled over $200,000, which will all be donated to research and programs in our area!
