Mr. & Mrs. Ferenchick!

Chuck and Raina had a beautifully intimate wedding at Lake Iamonia Lodge. Their love and the love of their families illuminated the day!

I love this image of her bridesmaids.

One of my favorites from the day!
Right before giving her away, her father had a family member read a letter he wrote for her. It was very touching.

After their dance, Greg played the Alabama fight song as a surprise for Raina’s dad.

It was a joy being there to photograph their wonderful day!

Office of the Public Guardian

I have been involved with the Office of the Public Guardian for a few years. This year I became a board member and could not be happier. The work that is done is just amazing. In particular, Pyramid, which is a place the wards go for everything from art and music to physical therapy. They are wonderful people and I am lucky to get to work with them. Each year there is a benefit that includes a live auction. This slide show is shown at the benefit as well as distributed to agencies such as the United Way for crucial funding. Raina’s Bridal session!

Raina and Chuck were married this afternoon at a beautiful and touching ceremony at teh Lake Iamonia Lodge in Northern Tallahassee. It was so wonderful, perfect weather. So, those photos are to come. I can’t wait for you to see them!
In the meantime, I will post some favorites from Raina’s bridal. I had teased you a few weeks ago by only showing her shoes. We were afraid Chuck may stumble across the blog and the surprise would be ruined. Well, he told me today that he had checked the blog! So glad I only showed her shoes.
She is truly stunning! Don’t you agree?
This black and white was on display today at the reception as a 24×36 print. Her guests just loved it!

Firefighter Update!

I got great news today from Blythe, from 107.1, the radio station working with us to promote the 2010 firefighter calendar. Their website is in the top 100 of all Clear Channel radio stations NATIONWIDE!
How exciting!
The “powers at be” have decided to cross promote with 101.5 and 94.9, so the voting will be through Sunday. Our idea is being discussed within Clear Channel as a “national idea share” and they are suggesting this to other communities as a great way to promote their local firefighters.
Yeah!

Handy sunset calendar

There are times that a bride contacts me and asks when would be the best time for her ceremony, based on sunset. I love shooting images of a bride and groom during the “magic hour.” Typically not for an entire hour, but the light sure is gorgeous about 30 minutes before a sunset.
Go to this link http://www.sunrisesunset.com/usa/Florida.asp or click the sunset calendar title above for a wonderful resource!

Tallahassee Professional Firefighters!

Hey everyone out there in blog land! I am working on a wonderful fundraiser with the Tallahassee Professional Firefighters. Of course, this effort is important to me since my husband is one of Tallahassee’s finest! (pssst, he is #17.)
I am excited to announce that the voting is open for the 2010 calendar. Click the link above and choose your favorites, yes you can vote more than once! Please pass the info along to your friends and family. The voting site is http://www.magic1071.com/pages/morningshowpoll.html
The unveiling party will be April 20th 8pm at AJ’s. Everyone is welcome to come!
Once chosen, photo shoots of the top 12 will be scheduled. I am honored that I can be part of this wonderful cause.
Good luck!

Darbi & Juston!

I am so looking forward to tomorrow’s wedding at Ayavalla Plantation. Darbi’s great aunt used to live on the property and it holds so much meaning for her family. I will post some images early next week. Congratulations guys!

Meet the Mackenzie’s!

I just love a wedding at Carillon Beach! It is such a gorgeous place. Victoria and her crew do a fantastic job for each and every couple and go above and beyond to ensure that every wedding is exactly what the newlyweds want. This past weekend was not exception. Kim & Scott were so much fun to photograph. His Scottish accent and kilt were fabulous!
Thanks guys for such a great night!

Flowers from her great grandmother’s garden.
A live feed to his family in Scotland!

Guests found their name and table on this cool tree.

Kim & Scott are real music lovers, they had guests sign records as a keepsake.

Photographing a newlywed couple on the beach, nothing beats it!

A traditional Scottish dance. They even had her mom out there!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Mackenzie!
Check my website in 3 weeks for their entire wedding.
