Sloan is 1!

I have had the pleasure of photographing Sloan for her first birthday. She is a little sweetheart and just loves the camera. But I do think she loves Lucy & Leo’s Cupcakery delicious cupcakes more! For her first birthday shoot, I surprised her with her very own cupcake. As you can see, she truly loved every bite!

Holiday HiLites Love and {JOY}

I had a wonderful holiday season photographing families around the area. From the hundreds of custom cards to the canvas gifts for loved ones, the holiday season of 2010 was a busy and {SUPER} FUN one! I dislike the concept behind resolutions, as I think they set us up for failure. So, this year I am taking some small bites, a little at a time to reach my goals. One goal, of course, is to reach out through my blog to share my work with you. I hope you enjoy this sampling of my holiday favorites!

Association of Bridal Consultants

I spent December 8th in Alys Beach at Studio B http://www.studiobthebeach.com/ with members of this wonderful organization. This is the link to the ABC Chapter it is FULL of wonderful wedding vendors! http://abc-florida.com/a/category/panhandle/

It was fun seeing old friends, finally meeting some facebook friends face to face and networking with people that I will be working with in 2011. Studio B itself is phenomenal and the perfect space for this gathering. We enjoyed a lunch from Dine by Design http://www.dinebydesigncateringinc.com/page/page/3294307.htm and I had the most delicious Portabello Lasagna ever! From mingling to wrapping presents for area children, this event was a great success! Thank y’all for inviting me!

Darrh LOVES Jen!

Jen Anderson and Darrh Bryant were married at the Henderson Park Inn in beautiful Destin, FL on a cloudless day. The inn has been voted as one of the most romantic getaways, and it is truly a diamond in the rough. John Gandy and his marvelous team planned a flawless weekend and Missy Gunnels flowers were just gorgeous.  There were so many memorable moments, from the Woody’s speech and Darrh’s payback to their elegant first dance.  Jen & Darrh’s sense of humor kept us smiling all weekend.

I was so happy to be there with my sissistant Christy, to photograph this weekend of fun, friends and family.

Congratulations Dr. & Mrs. Bryant!, have a wonderful time in the Dominican Republic!

Earl & Meg!

Mr. & Mrs. Ossorio had their wedding at the area’s best kept secret, Litchgate. This was the first wedding I had the pleasure of photographing there and I loved it! The grounds are so serene and the house is straight out of a storybook. The property is steeped in history and wonderful stories.

Meg & Earl worked very hard planning each and every detail of their special day. The acorns have a very special meaning and the theme were used throughout their wedding. There were acorns used in her bouquet as well as their cake. Meg even sang some beautiful songs to her guests at the reception, including one of my favorites, “No Rain.” They escaped through a cloud of bubbles, singing all the way through. It was a lovely, lovely day! Thank you Meg & Earl for choosing me as your photographer!

Meg’s story of the acorn’s significance in their courtship…

“One of Earl’s best friends has a house on St. George Island.  Actually, Ronda is a female and she was not at the wedding.  When Earl first told her he was dating a girl from West Virginia, Ronda’s first question was whether I had all my teeth!  (She’s allowed to ask that only because she’s from West Virginia as well).  On my first trip to her beach house, I was a little nervous to meet Ronda for the first time.  Earl asked Ronda what she thought of me.  “Even a blind hog can find an acorn every once in a while,” was Ronda’s response.  The next day, Earl was fishing on the beach and two acorn washed ashore.  He had been fishing there for five years and had never seen an acorn.  He considered it a lucky omen.  We still have it.”
